For the last year its all but assumed that Alshon Jeffery would be the #2 wide receiver off of the board, but that may change. From what
I have heard his stock is dropping. It does not help when they compare you to Mike Williams from Seattle. No one will question the size, strength and red zone ability of Jeffery but his speed is a huge question mark. Unless he really busts a fast 40 time at the combine, look for him to drop to the end of round one. The player that is making waves and should be the #2 wide receiver off of the board after Blackmon, will be Kendall Wright from Baylor. I still don't think alot of people realize just how good Wright is, since Robert Griffin stole most of the attention. Wright is a very tough hard nosed player that has the speed that Jeffery lacks. Based on his combine numbers, you may even see him go in the top 10.

Whenever they's a fight so hungry people can eat, I'll be there. Whenever they's a cop beatin' up a guy, I'll be there . . . . I'll be in the way guys yell when they're mad an'-I'll be in the way kids laugh when they're hungry an' they know supper's ready. An' when our folks eat the stuff they raise an' live in the houses they build-why, I'll be there.

Agree totally, I think he could end up with the Jags at #7 overall, lord knows they need all the WR help they can get, as the absolute most putrid collection of WR on one team I have seen in the last 20 years.
Tis far better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I agree with you about Wright being on the radar of a number of teams. There have been articles written about a few teams that have Wright as the WR1 on their draft-boards. Jeffery isn't helping himself any that is for sure. With all the great pub that Wright is getting in the past months, I doubt he is taken in the top 10. I don't think of him as an elite wr that should be taken there, but it only takes 1 GM that doesn't agree with me. I am not even sure if I consider Blackmon a top 10 talent. If I was the GM of an NFL team that needed a WR I wouldn't select either in the top 15.

If Jeffery shows up to the combines at TE weigh, I see him dropping out of the first.

A player can make or break himself at the combines. I have heard that Justin Blackmon will be a top 5 pick if he runs in the 4'4's.
But if he runs over a 4'5 he drops out of the top 10.

Heard that too just can't remember where. but that is one I don't believe.

I would have to agree.I don't see Blackmon as a speed guy anyway. His strength is beating cornerbacks off the line with his strength.
My fear is he will end up being another Michael Crabtree. Great in a college setting but will not be an elite pro receiver. I liked AJ Green
more then I do Blackmon coming out of college. I also think Robert Woods will be a better pro prospect then Blackmon. Woods has Larry Fitzgerald type talent and will be a top 5 pick when he comes out.

Blackmon seems to have his head on straight though, Crabtree always seemed to have his head in his ass, at least to me. which is why I wasn't surprised that Crabtree never amounted to the hype. Though I do agree that he won't be as good as what Green or even Julio Jones could be but I do like him.

Stephen Hill. Good size and speed, just didn't have the catches last year.

Chris Polk was trashed on the web during Senior Bowl, but then looked good. Seemed trimmed down...

I personally think he looks very studly. Great hands. Power runner. He needs a lucky landing area, but doesn't everyone. I like him WAY better than Wilson or James. Hoping the NFL Owners agree with me.

Hill might be a steal in the draft this year. Playing at GT didn't help his stock due to the triple option is the primary focus at GT.

Well, since it's been over month on this, the update looks like Jeffrey might be the 5/6 WR taken in the draft somewhere in the second round. Blackmon, Floyd, Wright, and Hill all have seemd to pass him in terms of draftability. He'll be a steal if he turns out anywhere near Brandon Marshall's ability (let's just hope he isn't a head case like him). Alot of people have Blackmon and Floyd in the top 10 with Wright and Hill in middle to end of the first round.
